Salt Lake International Ranked Among World's Top Airports

Skytrax Research of London has released its annual ranking of the world's top airports and Salt Lake International comes in at #94. Salt Lake ranked #99 last year.

In all, 14 U.S. airports made the top 100 list. You can see the entire list here.

Skytrax’s survey asked them to evaluate airports on 39 separate factors— from check-in, transfers, shopping, security and immigration through to departure at the gate.

(Maureen Riley, executive director of the Salt Lake City Department of Airports) suggested that a recent renovation of the airport’s restaurant and concession venues, which she said has generated numerous positive comments from the traveling public, may have played a role in Salt Lake City International’s move upward.

We often hear people talk about how convenient the airport is – just minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and now served by TRAX light rail public transit.
