Is Four Corners Marker In The Wrong Spot?
Four Corners Monument is a popular tourist destination marking the only spot in the US where four state borders come together - where you can literally stand in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona all at the same time.
However, this news article says the monument was placed in the wrong spot - that it is about 2.5 miles west of where it should be, according to readings by the National Geodetic Survey.
That would mean Utah has been short changed by 2.5 miles.
The monument is in a remote located on Navajo and Ute tribal land. It is a popular stop for people touring the national park country in southeastern Utah.

Actually, it seems that the marker is now in the correct position - the 4 States involved plus the US Government basically decided to move the official state borders to match up to the marker! (Thus the old survey is now wrong!)
