Lake Powell’s delightful right now

The boss took our entire utah.com office to Lake Powell last week. We stayed on a houseboat and had a great time. The weather was perfect – warm (but not hot) days, cool nights, water warm enough for skiing and other water sports.

There was even a beautiful almost-full moon. Slower fishing was the only down side – the full moon allowed stripers and bass to feed all night and so they weren’t hungry when we went after them.

The weather should be warm enough for water play for a couple more weeks. As the lake cools fishing will improve and boating conditions will continue to be good. Fall is a great time to boat, explore, hike and sight see at the big lake.

There's still plent of time for a great adventure there.
